The picker sits on your product pages, cart page and cart drawer. It only offers dates you can do, greys out full slots, and carries through Buy it now. Offer local delivery, store pickup or both, at up to three locations.

A picker on its own can be skipped. These checks run in Shopify's checkout, so the customer sees a clear message and can't pay until the choice works:
- Missing or past dates
- Closed days and closed dates, such as bank holidays
- Orders after your daily cutoff or without enough notice
- Fully booked time slots
- Zip codes and postcodes you don't deliver to

Some orders still arrive without a date. On Essential and Pro, Delivery Guard holds fulfilment and asks the customer to pick one on the thank-you page or from a personal link. Once they do, the order is tagged and released.

Billed in USD every 30 days through Shopify. If you go over 30 dated orders on Free, your checkout keeps working and you'll be asked to upgrade.
Questions
Does it work with Buy it now?
Yes. The product page picker saves the date on the item, so Buy it now carries it to checkout. The cart picker covers orders placed from the cart page and cart drawer.
What happens to orders that arrive without a date?
Express checkouts and older themes can skip the picker. On Essential and Pro, any order that reaches you without a date is tagged and its fulfilment is held. The customer picks a date on the thank-you or order status page, or from a personal link you send, and the hold is released. On Free the order is tagged but not held.
Can a slot ever be overbooked?
Rarely. Slot counts update within seconds of each order, but two customers checking out at the same moment can both take the last place. Delivery Guard flags the later order and emails you so you can sort it out.
Do limits count orders or items?
Orders. A limit of 10 means 10 orders in that time slot on that day, however many items each one has.
Which Shopify plans and themes does it work on?
The checkout rules work on every Shopify plan, with no need for Shopify Plus. The product page picker needs an Online Store 2.0 theme such as Dawn or Horizon. Older themes can still use the cart picker.
Does it work outside the UK?
Yes. Delivery areas take UK districts, exact postcodes or zip codes, and prefixes. UK bank holidays can be added in one click; anywhere else, add your closed dates yourself. The customer-facing text is in English for now.
How do I turn it off?
Switch the rule off under Settings, Checkout in Shopify, or uninstall the app. Your checkout goes back to normal straight away.
